Initiated A Collaborative Mission With The State Government And UNICEF Towards Fostering A Positive And Lasting Change In Dongargaon And Chowki Blocks
Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, 14 Dec 23 – ‘Pahel, Prayas se Parinam’ an impactful CSR initiative by IB Group, India’s integrated protein leader, unfolded at a significant event today, attended by dignitaries namely
- Shri S. Jayvardhan (IAS)-Collector & District Magistrate Collector- District Mohla Manpur Ambargarh Chowki.
- Shri Amit Kumar (IAS)- Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Rajnandgaon
- Tanaz Aziz - Director, IB Group,
- Dr Anjum Alvi – Executive Director IB Group
- Dr. Poulomi Banerjee - Vice President ESG department
- Ms Shweta Patnaik – OiC UNICEF for Chhattisgarh
- Abhishek Singh- Specialist, Social and Behaviour Change, UNICEF, Raipur
- Other invitees included- Acwadam, Water aid, Panchayat functionaries, SHG’s and youth volunteers.
Also, 300 youth volunteers joined to make a meaningful impact in the community. This event marks a noteworthy milestone in the collaborative journey of District Administration Rajnandgaon, Mohla Manpur Ambargarh Chowki, IB Group and UNICEF focused on transforming Dongargaon and Chowki into ‘LiFE Block’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Mission LiFE at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021, aiming to inspire individuals and communities to adopt lifestyles harmonious with nature, and urge people to make lifestyle changes to be recognized as ‘Pro Planet People’. The ABIS Pehal is a contribution towards creating LiFE block. The mission's agenda sets a vision to make Dongargaon and Chowki into LiFE block, for at least 80 percent of all villages to become environment-friendly by 2028.
While, CG Govt. Official Amit Kumar IAS highlighted the Journey and conceptualising the thought by saying- “When we implement a sustainable waste management model we can leverage infrastructure with partners like IB Group, UNICEF, and Acwadam. So that we can focus on treating grey water and recharging groundwater to ensure sustainability. Empower participants to become water warriors dedicated to saving water resources.”
Whereas, Dr. Poulomi Banerjee, Head of ESG department at IB Group- "Was happy to initiate the Pehel with the state government, UNICEF, and local authorities, by proudly launching "Pahel" for community development. Connecting Dongargaon and Chowki into the LiFE block, and to implement PM Modi's Mission LiFE, emphasizing lifestyle for the environment and for empowering lives.”
To which, Abhishek Singh- Specialist, Social and Behaviour Change, UNICEF, Raipur said- “By saving just one mug of water daily, we can collectively conserve 100 crore litres. Emphasize personal change as the catalyst for global impact. "Prayas se Parinam" is a compelling call, urging Chhattisgarh's youth to actively participate and ensure the success of this initiative.”
Also, Ms Shweta Patnaik – OiC UNICEF for Chhattisgarh also added to the event saying: “She commended the collaborative efforts of IB Group, Acwadam, and UNICEF. Engaged in Swachh Bharat, Jal Jeevan, and Mission LiFE initiatives.”
Whereas, Tanaz Aziz - Director, IB Group Said: “As a 30-year-old company, IB Group is dedicated to making India protein-rich through our CSR initiative, Pahel - Prayas se Parinam. We're actively supporting pregnant women through a health campaign and aligning with PM Modi's mission in Corp 26 for sustainability.”
